We've added the "Published Date" field when creating or updating articles. This enables you to add articles from another site published in the past and set the actual published date rather than it always defaulting to the date the article was entered.

It can also be used for manually changing the sort order of articles or to bring an article to the top of the list if you modify it or just want to bring more attention to it.
