The YouTube playlist widget allows you to connect directly to a YouTube play list without having to add the videos into the Training Tilt platform. This is a great way to easily include regular content like video logs or just videos you want to quickly share with your clients. If you use it for a video log you can upload your videos directly to your YouTube account and add them to the playlist and they will automatically appear in the widget.

A few simple steps to get setup.

First grab your YouTube play list id from YouTube.  To do this, you can grab it out of the URL from the playlists web page.

Get the playlist ID from YouTube

Log into your YouTube account, go to your channel and access Playlist

Select the Playlist you want to connect to your Training Tilt platform.

When you click this, there's a chance you playlist will start playing the videos.  Click the title of your playlist.

This will take you the URL of your playlist.  Copy the alpha numeric code after the equal (=) sign.

Now log into your Training Tilt platform.  From the dashboard, go to Settings.

Go to Platform Settings

Select Social Media

Now go to the YouTube Playlist ID, and click Edit.

Paste the ID code, then press Save.

Next, go to Widget Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom

Tick the YouTube box under Member landing page, then click Save widget settings.

Now that you are all set up, you will see the YouTube widget in the same format as your other content widgets.

Clicking on any of the items will open the playlist in a new page and display the selected video.
